Using A Mono Fin!
The scuba diving world is becoming a very popular and well known recreational sport, famous worldwide. So of course there are always being new techniques for diving perfected and a whole host of new equipment being produced. As things carry on improving, future generations will need to check out new ways to go diving.
The Flipper gives every Scuba Diver the ability to be a better diver through the water. Without these, free diving and scuba diving would be near impossible, at least for great lengths of time. As these fins or flippers are the number 1 way to transport you through the water, it makes sense to play with them and vary them.
The Mono Fin, then came around in this manner! You can probably guess what it is, but for those of you not sure, it isn’t just swimming with one flipper! Basically the Mono Fin is a single fin, in which both feet are strapped into, sort of like a whale or dolphin! This single fin can vary in size, but works in the same way that a dolphin or whale move.
Not really made for speed, this fin is more for leisurely diving, slow diving. Speed can be attained, but it will take a toll on your respiratory system. Switching over to this fin, can be very difficult. Good luck buying one though, as they cost a fortune. Some of them can cost more than 2000 dollars, which is a lot of money, even for some of you extreme divers. Caribbean holidays are a great place to test these fins, purely because they provide such still and clear waters.
One very key part is to try and learn slowly, don’t just jump, it is a completely different diving experience. There is a somewhat disconcerting feeling, when you notice that your feet are glued together, no time to panic! With that set to one side, Maldives holidays as well as Maldives Diving will benefit greatly, especially if you can blend in with the surrounding marine life!
