Take Active Diving Holiday In Egypt
I was feeling a little old and set in my ways. I wanted to do something different and adventurous. A friend suggested that I take an active diving Egypt holiday. They thought that this would be the ideal thing to give me a new mind set.
My first thought was, no way can I put on a bikini and be on the beach in front of all those people. The next thing that I thought about was am I too old for this, am I cool enough to take a trip like this. This is a holiday for young, cute beach bums; I am the average doctor in training in London. No Way!
After doing a little research about an active diving journey in Egypt, I decided that it was the ideal trip for me. Everything sounded so fun times, and exciting. It was a great holiday for a single person. I had all the plans made before I knew it. I had great plans for the days and even planed evening events. I was off to Egypt for fun times in the sun and was very comfortable with it.
After being picked up from the airport, I was taken to my chosen accommodation and met by someone to explain about where, when and what I needed for my scuba diving holiday, and he was cute! Ding Ding! Diving holiday off to a great start!
First thing the next morning, we all meet at the diving center. It was time to get my diving equipment. After that we took a few minutes to get acquainted with all the other divers. Then we were off to Famar beach, across the island. The beach was so much more than I expected. I was in a daze. The cliffs and the open beach was so pretty, not to mention that some of the divers were gorgeous. It was a little piece of heaven.
After a few minutes it was time to learn the basics and what to do in an emergency. Then I was thought how to use all of my equipment. Playing the female card was not going to cut it here. I had to show that I was strong enough to handle this. There were 12 year old kids that already had the hang of this. I had for making this work I could not be out done by a group of kids.
That evening a few us went to a local club and had a few drinks. It was great fun and I really enjoyed being around some new friends that just wanted to have a good time. I also me a great guy, once we started talking we discovered that he would be diving with my group in two days. This put me on edge a little because I did not want to seem like I did not know what I was doing. So the next day I set out to become a pro so that I could impress him the next day. Well I accomplished my goal and everything went well.
We went out for Tapas in the evening which was really nice as I’ve never had Tapas before, another experience on my tick list. Before the end of the holiday, we met up again for a meal and drinks, even heading to a late night bar with music and live singers as I had my last day to chill out and be hung over.
